Free UK drone fly-zone map

Drone Map UK Fly Zones Free

Use this free UK drone map to check council rules and advisory NATS UAS restriction zones in one place. It is a planning aid, not a replacement for current CAA, NATS and NOTAM checks.

What This Free Drone Map Shows

The embedded map combines local council rule summaries with a static airspace advisory overlay. It helps you spot obvious planning issues before you travel to a location.

Airspace Advisory

Blue overlay zones come from local NATS UAS restriction-zone data. Click a zone to see its name, lower and upper limits, activity, contact details and effective date.

Council Rules

Council colours show whether public FOI records mention byelaws, policies, PSPOs, no restrictions, council notes or awaiting responses.

Place Search

Search by council, town, place or postcode. Council matches open directly; pressing Enter searches places using OpenStreetMap data.

Layer Clicks

Where a council boundary and an airspace area overlap, the popup can show both types of information so you do not miss the local rule context.

How To Read The Map Controls

Think of the embedded map as a visual checklist. The controls help you narrow the data, but the final decision to fly should always use current official sources.

Important Safety Notes

This free drone map is useful for planning, but it is not an operational aviation product. Airspace can change, temporary restrictions can appear, and local permissions may depend on exactly where you take off and land.

If you are doing paid or business-related flying, use a competent, insured pilot with the right operational procedures.

Minimum Checks Before Flying

  • Current CAA rules and the Drone Code.
  • NATS, NOTAMs and temporary flight restrictions.
  • Council restrictions, site signs and landowner permission.
  • People, roads, buildings, wildlife, weather and emergency activity.
