Drone wedding photography specialisms

Aerial-only sets built to complement your existing wedding photographer and videographer.

Your wedding photographer can't be in the sky.

Couples regret the aerial shot they didn't book. The group photo on the lawn, the sweeping venue reveal, the coastal ceremony from above — an aerial specialist captures what no ground camera can.

The Shot You'll Regret

Every couple we've worked with says the same thing: the aerial group shot and venue reveal are the images they print biggest. A ground-only album simply cannot produce them.

Venue Rules Are Real

Country houses, castles, and coastal venues all have drone rules. A licensed, insured drone pilot with venue-friendly paperwork gets flown off without disturbing the ceremony — a hobbyist gets turned away at the gate.

Working With The Primary

The best aerial shoots are quiet, choreographed, and invisible to guests. Our drone pilots slot in around your primary photographer, shooting between key moments so nothing is missed, disrupted, or doubled up.

Even cinematic wedding work needs insurance and permits.

A wedding is the worst possible day for a drone to go wrong. Guests, children, listed buildings, sometimes a horse-drawn carriage — it's a genuinely complex flying environment dressed up as a garden party.

Every wedding drone pilot on this network holds a full CAA Operational Authorisation, carries £5M public liability cover, and can provide the paperwork your venue coordinator needs weeks before the day. No last-minute surprises, no panicked phone calls to the registrar.

What you get is cinematic imagery, captured quietly, by someone whose job on the day is to make themselves invisible.

"The aerial group shot on the lawn is the biggest print in our house. Our drone pilot flew it between the confetti throw and the wedding breakfast — half our guests didn't even realise he was there."

Anna & Tom

Newlyweds, Lake District

"As a wedding planner I was wary of drones on the day. This drone pilot sent the paperwork a month in advance, briefed with the primary photographer, and delivered a highlight reel that made the couple cry. Faultless."

N

Natasha G.

Wedding Planner, Cotswolds

"We had a coastal ceremony with a tight weather window. The drone pilot flew the venue reveal in a 20-minute gap and delivered stills our videographer layered straight into the final film. Genuinely part of the team."

Wedding Aerials FAQ

Noise, venue rules, and working alongside your primary photographer.

Will the drone disrupt the ceremony or be noisy?
Modern cinematic drones are quieter than a garden strimmer from 20 metres away, but we never fly over the ceremony itself. Drone pilots choreograph shots around key moments — venue reveal before guests arrive, group shot between ceremony and breakfast, landscape frames during the drinks reception. Ceremonies stay entirely undisturbed.
What if my venue has restrictions on drones?
Most venues are happy to permit a fully licensed and insured drone pilot once they see the paperwork. Our drone operators send a risk assessment, method statement, CAA authorisation, and £5M insurance certificate to your venue coordinator in advance — typically a month before the day. If the venue has a total ban, we'll flag that before you book.
How do you work alongside our primary wedding photographer?
Your aerial drone pilot is there to complement the primary, not compete. They'll contact your photographer before the day to agree timings, angles, and the shot list — and colour-grade the delivered aerial stills to match the primary's editing style so everything sits together in the final album.
What happens if the weather grounds the flight?
Cinema drones fly safely in up to roughly 24 mph winds and light drizzle. For the small number of weddings where conditions simply don't allow any flight, drone pilots typically offer a partial refund or a rescheduled aerial shoot at the venue on a later date. Terms are spelled out in every quote.
