These terms govern your use of HireDronePilot (the “Service”). By submitting an enquiry or applying to join the network you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What HireDronePilot does
HireDronePilot is an introducer service that connects clients with independent, CAA-approved drone pilots in the United Kingdom. We do not operate drones ourselves and we are not a party to any contract between a client and a pilot.
We act solely as an introduction platform. We do not process payments, hold funds in escrow, or take a commission on jobs booked through the Service. Once a client accepts a pilot’s quote, the resulting contract is directly between that client and that pilot, and payment flows directly between them.
2. For clients
- Information you submit in a project brief must be accurate.
- Quotes you receive are between you and the pilot. Contract terms, delivery and payment are agreed directly with the pilot you engage.
- Payment is made directly to the pilot, not to HireDronePilot. The pilot sets their own payment terms, may request a deposit, and will issue their own invoice.
- HireDronePilot does not guarantee pricing, timing or availability of any individual pilot.
3. For drone pilots
- You must hold valid CAA authorisation for the work you accept (e.g. A2 CofC, GVC) and commercial Public Liability Insurance of at least £1,000,000.
- You must supply truthful qualification and insurance evidence during vetting and keep it up to date.
- Once a client accepts your quote, the contract is between you and that client. You define your own payment terms, request deposits where appropriate, and issue your own invoices. HireDronePilot does not process payments on your behalf and does not take a commission on your work.
- You are responsible for the flight operation, safety, record-keeping and deliverables for every job you accept.
- We may remove any pilot from the network at our discretion, including where qualifications lapse or conduct falls short of the network standard.
4. Fees
HireDronePilot is currently free to use for both clients and pilots. We do not charge clients a booking fee, and we do not deduct a commission from the pilot’s quote. If we introduce fees in the future (for example, a flat membership fee for pilots remaining on the directory), we will update these terms and give reasonable advance notice.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the HireDronePilot website — including copy, design, code and imagery — is owned by HireDronePilot or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or redistribute the content without written permission, except for normal browsing and sharing of public pages.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to post misleading information, attempt to circumvent pilot vetting, scrape the website, or interfere with site operation.
7. Limitation of liability
HireDronePilot provides the introducer service on a reasonable-effort basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from a client’s engagement of a pilot, a pilot’s conduct on a job, or from reliance on any content on the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
