These terms govern paid pilot membership of the HireDronePilot directory. They apply in addition to our general Terms of Service. By paying the membership fee you agree to these terms.
1. What membership is
Membership buys a listing in the HireDronePilot directory and a public profile page, together with direct email routing of any enquiries that your profile generates. Membership is a marketing and directory service only.
Membership does not guarantee any volume of enquiries, leads, or work of any kind. Enquiry volume varies substantially by region, service, season, and how clients respond to your profile. You should not purchase membership on the expectation of receiving work.
2. A business-to-business contract
Membership is sold only to drone businesses (including sole traders acting for the purposes of their trade or profession). You confirm that you are purchasing membership for business purposes. Because this is a business-to-business contract, consumer protections such as the 14-day distance-selling cancellation right do not apply.
3. Price, payment, and renewal
- The membership fee is a flat £99 per year, paid by card via Stripe.
- Members who join at the founding rate keep that rate for as long as their membership remains continuously active, even if the headline price rises for new members.
- Membership renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel the renewal at any time via the Stripe billing link in your payment receipt, or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid-up year.
- Pilots who were listed on the directory before paid membership launched are founding members and are not charged.
4. No refunds
The membership fee is strictly non-refundable, in whole and in part, including where you cancel mid-year, stop trading, receive fewer enquiries than you hoped for, or your listing is removed for a breach of these terms. The service you purchase — publication of your listing — is delivered when your profile goes live.
5. Going live and listing standards
- Your profile is published within 1–2 working days of us matching your completed application with your payment.
- Everything in your listing must be truthful, including your credentials, insurance status, equipment, and experience figures. Profile content is supplied by you and is not independently verified by HireDronePilot; you are responsible for its accuracy.
- The directory is for independent drone businesses. Applications for franchise branches are not accepted.
- You must hold a valid CAA operator ID and any authorisation required for the work you accept, and keep them current while listed.
- Links on your profile to your own website and social profiles are published with
rel="nofollow". Membership is a directory listing, not the sale of links or search-ranking placements.
6. Removal for breach
We may remove a listing without refund where it breaches these terms — for example untruthful credentials, a franchise branch presented as an independent business, a business that has ceased trading, or conduct that harms clients or the directory. Where practical we will contact you before removal.
7. Non-payment
If a renewal payment fails and is not resolved after Stripe's automatic retries, or a payment is reversed via chargeback, your listing is removed from the directory. Relisting requires a new membership at the then-current price.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; continuing your membership after an update constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
